Gordon's Photography Price Annual International lists international auction results with sales prices of over 12,000 photographs of all types and periods. Entries encompass 19th, 20th, and 21st century photographs as well as books and periodicals with original photographs. From the publisher - "As many readers of this book know, late in 1993, after many years of trying to get good, accurate international results of photography auctions, Marty Gordon finally decided that if he wanted that kind of data, he had to accumulate it himself. As a result, Gordon's published its first photography price guide in the Spring of 1995.
This 2001 volume includes sales of photographs at auction during the 2000 calendar year. For each individual entry (record), besides the Photographer's name, title of the photograph or portfolio, photograph type (medium), date of the negative and the actual date of the photograph (if given), auction house and location where sold, date of the auction, measurement (dimensions) in inches, lot number, high and low pre-sale estimate if given in the catalogue, and price paid in dollars with the buyer's premium. Gordon's also includes the results of sales in three different currencies, including the Euro, low estimates with premium for photographs that were not sold (buy-in), dimensions in millimeters, general descriptive information, annotations on the photograph or mount (signatures, dedications, etc.), physical condition of the photograph, if given in the catalogue, edition size if the photograph is editioned, and notation if the photograph is illustrated in the catalogue. Hardbound, Cloth cover, Smyth sewn. Lisa Reinhardt, editor. Published and distributed by Gordon's Art Reference.
