In response to demand, the Old Morgantown Glass Collectors' Guild (OMGCG) has brought back the popular Jerry Gallagher classic, A Handbook of Old Morgantown Glass, in a newly revised edition. A separate price guide booklet prepared in 2011 is included as well as an exclusive offering from Crunruh Books, a paid one-year membership in the Old Morgantown Glass Collector's Guild, a $21 value. Membership affords you all the rights and privileges of Guild members as well as 4 issues of the quarterly newsletter, The Topic.
Gallagher's original work has been completely reprinted, including six pages of color photos. The remainder of the book is B&W photos, line drawings and Morgantown advertising reprints along with Gallagher's copious research text. The amount of detail is tremendous. The cuttings & etchings section primarily uses line drawings instead of photos. This is a great help in identification. Gallagher tries to document the color production for each item or line, but given Morgantown's vast rainbow and long production span, some omissions were bound to occur. Overall, though, it's the best Morgantown reference out there and member in the OMGCG is now included.
