The Scent Bottle: Glass Artistry & Innovations by Joyce Geener - Joyce Greener surveys scent bottles describing the wide range of artistic innovations applied in their creation. While most of the article is dedicated to older selections, she includes some current John Giluey's work and two contemporary studios - Lotton and Vandermark-Merritt. Color plates display items from Tiffany, Thomas Webb & Sons, a Mary Gregory scent bottle and several other pristine examples of types.

Victorian Art Glass Colognes by Ellen D. Teller - Twelve Victorian cologne bottles from the Ellen D. Teller collection are described in the text complementing a a color plate. A recommended reading section lists authors she consulted to research these bottles.

Memories of Harry Northwood by Dr. James S. Measell - Miss Elizabeth Northwood Robb, shares memories of Harry Northwood, her grandfather, and Dr. James Measell fills in details about Northwood's glass firms. Five B&W photos.

In Case of a Glass Disaster by Bill and Louise Boggess - Having lost several pieces from their collection in a 1989 earthquake, Bill & Louis Boggess investigated the best means to protect their valued pieces against any future disasters. A list of nine suggestions is accompanied by photos of the damaged items. Nine B&W photos.

Moderntone with All the Trimmings by Lorraine Kovar - During the 1930s and early 40s, the Hazel-Atlas Company manufactured a pattern called Moderntone in several forms. This article focuses on Platonite - a white or milk glass. Six photos accompany the text.

Morgantown Class Glass by Jerry Gallagher - Examples of items produced under Joseph Haydens innovative management of Morgantown Glass are discussed. Three color photos and two illustration show the items. Two have stemware with silk screen medallions (Queen Louise and Pheasant). One displays Alexandrite glassware.

Kanawha Glass by Betty Rhoads - Kanawha Glass Co. was founded in 1955 and was sold to Dereum Glass in 1988. The Kanawha name was used until 1989. Its products included crackle, Peachblow, cranberry, and blown patterns such as Hobnail & Diamond Dot.

Fenton's Peach Blow, Peach Crest, and Black Rose by Ferill Rice - Fenton made glass for other firms, in particular L.G. Wright and Devilbiss. Four pieces for these glass firms are shown in a large color plate.

Cut & Engraved Liquor Containers of the Brilliant Period (1876-1916) by Martha Louise Swan - Fine cut and engraved containers where often used to elevate the status of whiskey, wines and other drinks to levels of acceptability in the era that lead into prohibition. Numerous illustrations are provided.

Aventurine: An Adventure in Glass by Sibylle Jargstorf - The fascinating history of Averturine, which also is known as goldstone, dates back to the 17th century. It is a testament to the knowledge and skills of the Murano glassworkers who developed the use of copper in glassmaking. Large color plate shows four examples of Aventurine.
