The American Watch Co., later known as the American Waltham Co., distributed this catalog at the Cotton Centennial Exposition, a World Fair held in 1884 - 1885. The 40-page reprint contains 14 pages of text that describe the operations in manufacturing at the Waltham Works at that date. Numerous interesting trade advertisements are presented. These concern both watch and clock firms, as well as many supporting industries. This catalog is a significant record concerning the technological development of watch making in the United States, a large part of which occurred at the American Watch Co.
